Ms. Prapatsorn Longjumnong, affectionately known by her students as “Kru Koong,” is a highly experienced educator who has been teaching at TCIS since 2006. This School year, she is teaching Thai Language and Cultures in PK3 and PK4 classes. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Teaching Thai as a Foreign Language. In addition to her teaching qualifications, she has received professional certification and has completed various training programs in cultural event planning and Thai language instruction for non-native speakers.

Over the years, Ms. Prapatsorn has worked with both Thai and international students, ranging from early childhood to upper elementary and middle school levels. Her teaching philosophy centers on empathy, creativity, and deep cultural understanding. She believes in cultivating a classroom environment built on mutual respect, where students feel empowered to express themselves confidently and grow into responsible, thoughtful members of society.

Mrs. Rachel is a first year teacher at TCIS teaching 8th & 9th grade English. She was born and raised in Iowa, USA. During college she did her student teaching experiences in both China and India. Doing that she found a passion for working and teaching abroad. She has lived and taught English in Bangkok for the last five years at an international school. She loves inspiring kids to be creative scholars that are reflective and responsible. She is a football coach and loves to inspire kids both on and off the field to work hard and be team players. She is so excited to be working at TCIS and can’t wait to have an amazing year.

Rance Kuwata is a middle school math teacher at Thai-Chinese International School (TCIS) with over 10 years of international teaching experience. Originally from Hawaii, Rance has spent the past decade teaching in diverse classroom settings across Asia. His global teaching journey has helped him develop a culturally responsive, student-centered approach that prioritizes inclusivity, critical thinking, and real-world application.

Mr. Sean attended Washington State University and got his degree in English. He believes his passion for teaching really took off during his years at Washington State. He absolutely loved his professors and their outlook on teaching as a career. They pushed him to "grow up" and be himself inside of a classroom but still maintain that balance of enjoyment in a high school classroom. 

Mr. Sean is excited to be a part of the TCIS "family" and looks forward to being with the students each and every day. He is currently in his sixth year at TCIS, and he is the Athletic Director. In his downtime, he enjoys camping, playing sports, and reading a good book! 

Mr. Severino is an experienced teacher with an honors degree in Applied Physics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. He received qualifications from National University of Science and Technology as well as the University of South Africa. Mr. Severino has 15 years of experience teaching high school Physics and Mathematics both in public and private schools. Mr. Severino’s instructional approach and interactive teaching style includes problem solving sessions, hands-on lab activities coaching, individualized teaching of key concepts in small group settings, enabling students to apply Physics concepts to solve problems in real life, and building a solid foundation for further courses related to Physics and Mathematics. Mr. Severino has a strong interest in chess and is the advisor of the Chess Club, he is also the advisor of Smile Club.

Ms. Shanesz has  been an educator for the past 30 years working in several international educational institutes, including a post-graduate university. 

She has a Masters degree in Education from the University of Sunderland, UK and specialized certifications in Learning Technologies, Information Technology & Robotics. She is passionate about teaching technology and believes in building strong relationships that tap into students' interests, and designing lessons that allow students to make connections with the curriculum and the real world. 

Ms. Shanesz teaches secondary school Technology, Coding and Robotics.

Mr. Shaun is an academic advisor and college counselor.  This is his 17th year in education and his ninth year at TCIS. He has filled the roles of a classroom teacher, Head of Math, Yearbook Coordinator, and is currently the AP Coordinator at TCIS.

Before moving abroad, he was a 5th-grade Math and Science teacher and grade-level Team Leader in Austin, TX. He enjoys helping students learn essential life skills, such as problem-solving, self-advocacy, responsibility, and independence.

Mr. Shaun loves playing games like Catan, Cribbage, Splendor, Gin, and Rummikub,  working out, camping and trekking, and being creative through photography and skateboarding.

Ms. Shauna Le Conte is in her 8th year of teaching in Thailand, previously in Chiang Mai for 2 years and at TCIS for 5 years. Ms. Shauna has taught a variety of subjects over the years, including AP and IBDP mathematics. This year, Shauna teaches AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science, Coding, and Algebra 1. So far, Shauna has taken on a supportive role with the Robotics club with lead, Ms. Shanesz, and will supervise when the team travels for competitions. Hobbies include trying out new hot sauces (current favorite is “Firepower” brand) and riding on two wheels. Always keeping safety in mind! Shauna is from Ontario, Canada.

Ms. Sheeba Kundu, originally from India, is an experienced educator with over 16 years of teaching and leadership across IB, CBSE, and IGCSE curricula. She has served as IBDP Life Science Coordinator at Pathways World School, Gurgaon, leading the teaching of Biology, Environmental Systems & Societies, and Sports, Exercise & Health Science for grades 6–12.
She brings to TCIS her expertise in curriculum design, faculty mentoring, and fostering student success through inquiry-based and collaborative learning. This year, she will be teaching AP Biology, Environmental Science, and Anatomy & Physiology. Her teaching philosophy centers on inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for science.
