Mr. Paul is from New Jersey, USA, and is a dedicated, licensed educator specializing in secondary English. Over the course of his career, he has built a diverse teaching background, with classroom experience spanning Nursery, Kindergarten, Primary, and university-level English. He describes himself as diligent, self-motivated, and highly collaborative, thriving in team environments where he can contribute to school-wide success. He believes strongly in the continuous journey of personal growth and lifelong learning, a philosophy that shapes his approach to teaching. Known for building genuine relationships with his students, he creates a classroom where knowledge and confidence grow together, uniting his classes under his guidance and leadership.

Mr. Rance Kuwata is an elementary school teacher at Thai-Chinese International School (TCIS) with over 10 years of international teaching experience. Originally from Hawaii, Rance has spent the past decade teaching in diverse classroom settings across Asia. His global teaching journey has helped him develop a culturally responsive, student-centered approach that prioritizes inclusivity, critical thinking, and real-world application.

Mr. Gillette was born and raised in New Jersey. He began his career at an economic consulting firm and remains involved in studying global economic markets and conditions. Mr. Gillette started working at a secondary school in 2001 and taught in New Jersey before getting the international bug. Work took him to the Middle East, India, and China. International schools became a perfect fit, and Mr. Gillette has taught at international schools in Myanmar and Mongolia, where he was involved with the World Scholar’s Cup, coaching soccer, WASC, and teaching AP classes in History, World Geography, and Psychology. Mr. Gillette is thrilled to be teaching Economics, Business, and Psychology, and especially AP and IB Economics. He also gets to live in Thailand and enjoy its endearing culture. To quote Mr. Gillette: “It is a privilege to be here at TCIS, and I intend to be of service to the entire school community.”

Ms. Baimon has an academic background in multilingual education, with training in Chinese language and culture, English instruction, and second-language teaching. She completed her undergraduate studies at National Tsing Hua University and earned her master’s degree from National Taiwan Normal University. Throughout her studies, she received academic awards and scholarships, including research funding, and presented language-education research at an academic conference in Japan. Her experience learning and using multiple languages has shaped her interest in cross-cultural communication and supportive language teaching. She is excited to teach Japanese and ELL and hopes to help students build confidence, communicate effectively, and enjoy learning new languages.

Ms. Brittany from Milwaukee, WI, has always been passionate about serving children and families. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Community Education in 2012, followed by a Master of Arts in Cultural Foundations of Education in 2015. Before entering the classroom, she worked in residential and crisis centers, foster care as a case manager, and juvenile probation, advocating for children from many diverse backgrounds. In 2018, she relocated to Tucson, Arizona (USA), where she earned her Post-Bacc Certificate and K–12 Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching license. Ms. Brittany believes every child is capable of learning and is passionate about helping students discover confidence, perseverance, and a genuine love of learning. She is thrilled to join TCIS this year as one of three 3rd Grade Homeroom Teachers and looks forward to growing alongside her students while making this a year of learning and discovery. 

Ms. Gillian is a teacher from Ontario, Canada. It will be her third year teaching in Bangkok but her first at TCIS. She has previously worked in a Grade 5 classroom teaching Science and English and is very excited to work with Grade 1’s this year. Ms. Gillian graduated from Brock University in Canada with Bachelor’s Degrees in Education and Physical Education with a minor in English. She believes in a classroom where everyone is valued and celebrated. She believes that students find success in learning when they can connect to and care about the content. Ms. Gillian hopes to make Class 1A a place where all of these are true.

Ms. Kimonya is excited to join the Thai-Chinese International School community as a Middle School Mathematics teacher. She believes every student can succeed in mathematics through preparation, perseverance, and a positive mindset. Her goal is to create a classroom where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired to become confident problem solvers. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, reading, and spending time with her son, Jonah. She is excited to become part of the TCIS family and looks forward to an amazing year of learning together.

Ms. Phoebe has an international background in the performing arts, with four years of professional training and industry experience. She received comprehensive artist training with an entertainment company in Taiwan, developing skills in singing, dancing, stage performance, and overall artist development. Phoebe has also worked as a performer and singer-songwriter. Having lived and studied in both Thailand and Taiwan, Phoebe is excited to share her passion for the performing arts and inspire students to build confidence, creativity, and self-expression through dance.

Ms.Onuma (Kru Ben) has a Bachelor of Arts in Thai language. She has been teaching at TCIS since 2014. Kru Ben received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Private Educational Association in 2018. She teaches Thai language and culture in secondary school to both Thai and Non-Thai students. She believes that all students are unique and the classroom is a free space for students to speak and meet their full potential. Kru Ben also works with the Thai Red Cross Youth Bureau (TRCY) and provides support for TCIS Red Cross Youth Volunteers.
